Do you know what to buy from Dollar Stores?

Who loves the Dollar Tree stores? Hands up in the air so I can see you! If I have the time, I tend to spend a lot in their stores because they offer so many products that it’s difficult to choose just one. Is that good, or is that bad?

Well, if you’re one of those frugal Americans who want to save as much as possible even when shopping, it might be a good idea to write down a shopping list before you get lost between the aisles of the Dollar Store and end up spending more than you planned.

But we come to the rescue with a list of the top deals you can buy from the dollar stores! Ready to start?

1. Pint glasses

One of the first things you can buy from Dollar Stores is pint glasses. Everybody loves drinking beer, right? Plus, here, you can find them very cheap compared to other stores. You can get pint glasses similar to those seen in pubs for just one dollar each, and at an expense like that, you won’t have to worry if one breaks during a family party.

2. Bread

According to the creators of the well-known site Krazy Coupon Lady, Oroweat brand bread can be purchased at Dollar Tree for more than a third less than it does at a grocery shop. Good bread for one dollar? That’s cool with this inflation that’s been going on.

3. Greeting cards

That’s definitely a big win when it comes to what you can buy from Dollar Stores! Greeting cards are always pretty expensive in other places, but there is no reason to spend $5 for a card when you have an impressive and cute collection in these stores. It’s true that in some other places, they might be fancier, but it doesn’t matter how it looks if you fill it with a wholesome message for your loved one.

4. Party accessories

Are you about to throw a thematic party in the near future, but you don’t know where you can find affordable supplies? Head right to the nearest Dollar Store! There, you can buy everything you need to have a great party. Starting with party hats, paper cups and plates, and plastic tablecloths, you can find anything you want. Plus, you will be able to save quite a bit of money.

5. Coffee filters

Are you a coffee lover? Then you must probably brew own coffee in the morning; therefore, you might need some good coffee filters. Another item that you can buy from Dollar Stores is coffee filters. While they might not be top-notch quality, they are for sure cheaper than you can find them at other retailers.

6. Storage containers

When it comes to more space in the house, everybody understands the struggle! And what is the best item to clear the clutter and organize things around the house? Storage containers, of course. This is another thing that you need to buy from Dollar Stores. Mostly because they are super affordable, and you can buy as many as you need because it won’t wreak havoc on your budget. Plus, if they break, you won’t feel sorry for them since they’re easily replaceable.

Do you tend to forget the stuff that you have to buy from Dollar Stores? We got you! Check out this magnetic notepad for the refrigerator; it’s a great reminder for you to get everything in order before leaving the house. Fifty removable pages for only $7.99. I’d say it’s a great deal!

7. Reading glasses

Low-cost reading glasses? Tell me more! There is no shame in admitting that with age, our sight isn’t as good as it used to be, and when it comes to affording a pair of glasses, not everybody can do it. And in many places, they are very expensive. These reading glasses from Dollar Stores can do the job just fine.

However, if you feel like your sight is getting worse each day, it might be time to schedule an appointment for an eye exam to get the right prescription.

8. Art supplies

Pencils, brushes, jars, scissors, and other art supplies kids love so much are very expensive in other places. But at every dollar store, you can find plenty that you can buy in bulk too, and surprise your children or grandchildren right before school starts. Remember to keep an eye on children under 5 as some of these items may contain small parts that could cause choking.

9. Tote bags

Another thing that you need to buy from Dollar Stores is tote bags. Easy to handle and always great when you have to buy extra items from the grocery store, tote bags are always pretty expensive in other stores.

At a dollar store, you can purchase a large number of reusable polyester bags for a very low price. Be careful when you shop; certain things might not be a deal.

10. Flip flops

Summer’s favorite item is flip-flops! But the good thing about them is that you can find them year-round in every dollar store. They can be used for the seaside, backyard, around the house, and more. So why spend $10 or more for a pair of slippers? This is another thing you need to add to your shopping list and buy from Dollar Stores. Same with the other items; you won’t feel sorry for them when they break apart because it’s affordable to buy another pair right away!

11. Travel-size toiletries

Do you plan on traveling soon, and do you need small containers for the cabin luggage? Say no more! At every Dollar Store, you can find travel-size toiletries such as mouthwash, shampoo, toothpaste, and deodorant. And here, a whole set can be a great bargain compared to other major retailers.

12. Notebooks

It’s hard to keep a list of things that you have to buy or keep track of. While some people prefer having everything stored on their smartphones, there are still a bunch of others who love writing everything down. And what’s the best way to do it? In a notebook, of course. Pages are kept together, and it’s easier to carry around in your pocket. At every Dollar Store, you can find all-size notebooks, with or without spiral binding.

13. Sponges for dishwashing

If you are anything like me, you probably throw away your sponge every three weeks. That’s why there is no need to spend an arm and a leg on a pack of regular sponges for dishwashing. At Dollar Stores, a six-pack costs just a dollar, or less than 13 cents a drink.

14. Cleaning items

With one exception, cleaning supplies, especially disposable ones, are unquestionably something you need to buy from Dollar Stores. However, stay away from the liquid versions because they lose effectiveness over time. Stick to the powdered cleansers and other cleaning pads. The price of a three-pack of Brillo Basics heavy-duty scour pads at Dollar Tree is around $1.25. On my most recent visit, a comparable three-pack of heavy-duty Kroger scour pads was available for $2.19.
