How this affects what we write
It doesn’t. Advertisers and affiliate partners do not see our guides before publication and cannot ask us to change them.
We recommend products and stores because they save readers money or hold their value, not because of a commission. Many of our guides recommend buying used, buying store brands or not buying at all.
