10 Kirkland Signature Items You Should Definitely Buy From Costco

Costco keeps expanding its array of beloved Kirkland Signature products with their distinctive black, red, and white designs. There are currently more than 350 individual items, from batteries and bacon all the way to maple syrup and oil. Many of them are manufactured by top national and regional companies, such as Duracell, which manufactures Kirkland Signature batteries.

These products are generally found next to national brands on Costco’s shelves, with the Kirkland products at a more reasonable price. On some of the well-known Kirkland Signature products, don’t be shocked if you find the name-brand manufacturer’s name co-branded, such as Stearns & Foster on a Kirkland Signature by Stearns and Foster mattress.

So I think we established that we love their products, but let’s discuss which Kirkland items we should always buy:

Kirkland Signature Organic Animal Crackers

Whether you are feeding your kids or simply sharing your inner child with them, Kirkland Signature Organic Animal Crackers are probably one of the best things you can get from there. They are sweet, and just in case the name doesn’t ring a bell, they are in the shape of bite-size animals.

Kirkland organic animal crackers come in a 64-ounce barrel, priced at only $10.99, or 17 cents per ounce. Walmart was selling a 24-ounce barrel of Stauffer’s Biscuit Co. animal crackers for only $4.24, or 18 cents per ounce, and those were definitely not organic. And if you want to read a fun fact, there you have it: many fans think the Kirkland Signature animal crackers are, in fact, Stauffer’s in disguise.

Kirkland Signature Bacon

Everything’s much better with bacon, at least that’s what everyone says. Well, this automatically means that everything is great with Kirkland Signature Bacon because honestly, I think it might compete as the best bacon in America.

The product-testing pros from Consumer Reports are thrilled with it, and they even went on to say that Costco’s store-brand regular sliced bacon is the very best. Testers were truly impressed with the taste, noting its absolute crispiness and balance of fat and meat flavors. They also love the price, as Kirkland bacon usually sells for $1.50 less per pound than any other competitor.

Kirkland Signature Bakery Products

The Party Planning Committee will probably decide to go with Kirkland Signature Bakey products. Don’t get me wrong; they have great taste and a great price. First, they would save a good amount of money if they ordered half a sheet of cake from Costco’s in-store Kirkland Signature Bakery.

Your custom-designed theme will be baked especially for you in the store for only $19.99 for a half sheet. A custom-baked one-quarter sheet cake costs $18.99 at Kroger supermarkets. Most products there are baked in the house, and you can clearly see bakers doing their magic in the kitchen.

Kirkland Signature Batteries

As the Energizer Bunny doesn’t deliver, you’re the one who has to be in charge of all those batteries in your household. Also, you might be constantly looking for a bargain, which is totally understandable.

Kirkland Signature batteries can easily keep all the needed electronic toys and devices charged up for a bargain. For instance, a 48-pack of Kirkland Signature AA batteries (which are still made by Duracell) has had the same price for a couple of years: only $13.99, meaning 29 cents per battery.

They might occasionally go on sale for $4 or less. Buying name-brand batteries might cost you more at Costco. A 40-pack of Duracell Power Boost AA batteries is only $18.99, or over 47 cents per battery. However, you might find Duracell batteries on sale at Costco if you keep an eye out.

Kirkland Signature Beer and Hard Seltzer

Given that we have all these craft breweries in the United States these days, it wasn’t that difficult to find a very good and affordable one at Costco, especially since they have Kirkland Signature craft beers.

Their Kirkland Signature Citra Hop Sessions IPA was priced at $19.99 for a 24-can case. Moreover, the IPA scored an 82 on Beer Advocate. Only recently, Costco also decided to jump into the red-hot hard seltzer game. A wide variety case of 24 12-ounce cans of Kirkland Signature hard seltzer was only $21.99. Also, a case of 24 12-ounce cans of White Claw hard seltzer was only $29.99.

Kirkland Signature Booze

Wine lovers must be familiar with Kirkland Signature wines, but spirits snobs probably don’t know so much about Costco’s store-brand booze. Costco isn’t even allowed to sell liquor in its stores, as many states limit the warehouse club to only two types of alcohol: beer and wine.

However, in those states where there’s a green light to sell liquor, the Kirkland Signature Vodka is probably the best one yet, at least according to spirits experts. Luckily, if you’re not into vodka, there are still plenty of other things you can do. For instance, there’s Kirkland Signature’s Canadian Whiskey or Kirkland Signature’s Small Batch Bourbon.

Kirkland Signature Cashews

Costco knows a thing or two when it comes to nuts, and its Kirkland Signature Whole Cashews are probably the best examples. The nuts are incredibly fresh and high-quality. If you’re not big on baking, don’t be afraid of their size because they can freeze beautifully.

A 40-ounce container of Kirkland Signature cashews is only $13.99, which equals around $5.60 per pound, which is far less than you’d pay at Walmart. So if you’re a nut lover, then you must not ignore this awesome price.

Kirkland Signature Cheeses

I know it seems a bit nuts (since we just talked about them anyway) to spend thousands of dollars on cheese. But the heart wants what the heart wants, right? Their Parmigiano Reggiano Wheel is yours for $949.99, which is $13.99 per pound.

I have to admit, I’ve tasted a piece of that wheel, and it was simply marvelous. Moreover, it’s worth noting that the per-pound price is truly nothing compared to Wegmans Italian Classics Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese, which they sell at Wegmans supermarkets, where you can find chunks for $20.99 a pound.

But we inevitably have to pop the question: What can you do with a whole wheel of Parmigiano Reggiano? Well, I think you already know the answer to that: pasta. Tons and tons of pasta, especially since you can easily store that aged cheese.

Kirkland Signature Chicken Stock

For those of you who are home chefs and do a lot of cooking, this product is a winner not only in taste but also in price. However, we should warn you: if you sign up to bulk-buy an entire case of chicken stock, However, it’s still a wonderful investment. The stock has a very long shelf life, and the six-quart-size boxes of organic chicken stock you will find at Costco are only $9.99, meaning $1.66 per quart.

Kirkland Signature Coffee

If K-cups keep you up and going, Costco has something that you might want to brew. Its lineup of boxes of K-cups also includes boxes of 120 medium organic roast pods for only $35.99, which means 30 cents a pod.

You don’t even have to go too far to price-compare, as they also have other brands, such as 100 Newman’s Own medium roast coffee pods for $41.99, which comes out at 42 cents a pod. In the meantime, if you’re craving some good coffee, we highly recommend these Dunkin pods!
