Top 12 Household Items You Can Sell:

When you get an extra bill that you weren’t expecting or you just want to buy a pair of shoes that you can’t afford, you immediately start thinking of ways to save or earn extra bucks.

Well, take a good look at your household items, because you might have some gems in there that you don’t need anymore that you can sell. After all, why would you go through the hassle of working extra hours at your job when you can do a spring cleaning and get the needed money to buy those shoes?

In this article, you will find out what you need to sell for quick cash, where you can sell those items, and how to use your new cash fund! Here’s a list of household items to sell for some easy money:

Furniture

Furniture can sell for a proper amount of money. I mean, just think of all the tables, chairs, couches, desks, and dressers you must have seen in yard sales or online resales.

It’s a very profitable exchange if you ask me. If you have household items that you no longer identify with or don’t think fit into your house anymore, just get rid of them. People are constantly looking for deals on these basics.

Things from your closet

Your closet is a great place to find things that you’ve probably forgotten about or no longer use, so why not grab a box or two and look through your stuff to see where you could get rid of them?

Clothes

If you have plenty of clothes that you rarely wear or that you could part ways with, just sell them. Clothes are one of those household items you probably collect anyway, so once in a while, it will do you good to make room for something new.

Or, you know, just to make room. Moreover, if you have name-brand and designer items, you might get more money, so go ahead and check your closet. Say goodbye to all the things that no longer serve you.

Shoes

We all love shoes, but they could easily clutter your closet. Don’t I know? Just like Carrie Bradshaw, I think I have had a long-term obsession with shoes, so I had my fair share of yard sales with a shoe-selling stand that said “Take me home!”. If you also have a couple of expensive brands, even better, because people love designer shoes at a lower price.

Handbags

If you have way too many handbags and purses, you might want to consider parting ways with some of them. This type of household item can easily be replaced, but you could use that money now.

If you also have top-tier brands like Hermes, Dior, and Bottega Veneta, you should know that those resell the best. However, make sure you properly clean them out and remove all the items before sending them to buyers. You need to make yourself a reputation; otherwise, people won’t buy from you.

Jewelry and accessories

Jewelry can represent some of the most lucrative and precious household items, and you can easily sell those for some quick cash. But please keep in mind that jewelry can be worth a little or a lot, and it all depends on its quality. For instance, a nice pair of diamond earrings might be worth more than a necklace you bought from Zara.

If you are ready to get rid of any high-quality jewelry items, you might want to consider selling them. If you see that the potential buyer is highly ecstatic about your jewelry, you could even consider raising the price a little bit.

I mean, why not? As for other accessories, whether we’re talking about belts, hats, scarves, gloves, or even sunglasses, you should also get a good look at them.

They may not seem like they’re worth a lot, but then again, it all depends on the brand and how hip they look. You might even sell them in “packages”: a pair of sunglasses with a scarf, and so on. Become a creative seller and get rid of your household items!

Books

If your house is packed with shelves full of books, then it’s time to clean things up. Also, if you aren’t too attached to your books or you simply have too many, just get rid of them.

You might sell them for quick cash, especially since it would be a good occasion to declutter and make room for new ones. Oh, yes, and earn extra money, of course!

Also, if you’ve done with old, rusty books, you need to get into the e-books game. Here’s a great product that will convince you!

Lawnmower

If you don’t need the old lawnmower or, better yet, you have two, then just consider selling one. How much you should charge depends not only on the type of lawnmower you have but also on its condition.

For example, there are certain brands like John Deere and Troybuilt that cost way more than lower-end brands. If you’re out of ideas on how much to charge for your household items, the best thing you can do is check eBay and see what others have done.

Yard supplies

Yard supplies are yet another household item that could easily be sold. We’re talking about lawn and garden supplies, such as shovels, rakes, watering cans, buckets, and anything else that a true gardening aficionado might be looking for.

The majority of people have tons of unused supplies sitting in the garage, so you might want to turn that clutter into cash. However, make sure that the supplies are still functional and in good condition.

Tools

Tools are another great example of household items you can sell for quick cash. You can easily sell tools that you no longer need. For instance, power tools and circular saws are in great demand, and you might even find some people who might be interested in buying hand tools like hammers, socket sets, and handsaws.

If you can’t really remember ever using the item you have, then why not earn some money for it?

Exercise equipment

Exercise equipment that’s still brand new is quite expensive, but you probably know this already. For most of us, buying a used one is just as good, if not better.

If you’re in the gym and you have all kinds of things you don’t use anymore, sell them and make money out of them. It could be anything, from treadmills to ellipticals to even weights. They’re all great items that you can start with.

China figurines

If you have some china figurines and beautiful dishes that you’re ready to part ways with, then this would be a good time to start. Just sell them for some money.

You’d be surprised to know how many people are interested in buying these items, especially if you have something unique that they could display or even use for dinner parties.

Toys

Children grow up so fast, and it usually means that you are getting brand-new toys quite often. Since children outgrow their toys quite rapidly, I think it’s a wonderful idea to sell them.

Not only is there a good chance you’ll make a ton of money, but someone else could make use of those toys instead of collecting dust in the garage.
